Summer fun with SKCE Film:

SKCE Film did an educational film workshop this summer taught by Bryn Silverman and her assistant, Caitlin Stroud. Our group of eager young film makers met three times a week to learn about the mechanics, politics and art of film. They completed CCTV's camera, sound and editing certifications and created a short film by the end of the six week work shop. SKCE film is planning an after school program so that these certified, experienced film makers can spread their wings and produce a monthly narrative to be aired on CCTV (more news to come)!

Este verano SKCE Film hizo un "workshop" sobre cine- dado por Bryn Silverman y su ayudante, Caitlin Stroud. Nuestro grupo de cineastas jovenes se juntaron tres veces cada semana y aprendieron sobre los aspectos technicos, politicos y artisticos de cine. Con CCTV tomaron clases para aprender usar los cameras, equipo de sonido y tambien hizieron una pelicula corta. Ahora estan listas para filmar su narrativa para emisión en CCTV cada mez (mas noticias en seguida)!

Here is the group's film, Lifeless. It is about a situation of communication break down between a mother and her adolescent daughter.
